Henge Hoppers Meet
09/06/2017 - 11/06/2017
Kirklington, North Yorkshire
2017 is the 5th Henge Hoppers meet at the Camp Hill Estate and hopefully going from strength to strength. Pilots are invited to compete for the fabulous Henge Hoppers trophy with a new twist on the challenge - the furthest away from the centre henge of the three Thornborough Henges will be the winner. We are also considering a trailer towing championship on site, details will be updated as the idea takes shape. We have a camping area, or you could contact Camp Hill to find out if they have any yurts, hobbit pods, camping barns, teepees or domes still available to rent for the weekend. Camp Katur has been voted one of the top forty places to stay in the WORLD! All on-site overnight stays must be pre-booked and paid for. There is plenty to do on site when not flying, eating or sleeping - from 'Aerial Extreme' to Segways; from horse riding to water-zorbing.

Flying info: Flying from site.
Competition: Competing for 'The Henge Hoppers Trophy'.

To be won by the pilot who lands furthest from the Thornborough Henges, which can be seen SW of the launch site.

In addition to the flying tasks, there will be a themed quiz, and other little tasks, all with prizes!

We are also putting ideas together for a trailer towing championship, we will update the details as we formulate our plan.
Social/Accommodation: PRBA camping on site at 6 per night per unit.

All on-site overnight stays must be pre-booked and paid for.

The actual camp site/launch site does not have toilets as such, but out of the goodness of our hearts we will provide our own personal portable loo and toilet tent - strictly 'liquids' only! However we do have the use of the toilets and showers for a little further walk.

Dogs are welcome.

Also available (to book direct with Camp Hill) are glamping pods, Hobbit huts, camping barns, yurts and other types of accommodation.

Lots to do on site, from off-road Segways, Aerial Extreme, and quad bike safaris to name just a few. Check out the venue website for more details (www.camphill.co.uk ).

Camp Hill has approx. 240 acres of woodland and fields to explore. Well worth coming even if the weather doesn't play ball.
