Autumn Gold - fun flying and possibly a bit of TRAINING?
11th to 13th October 2019

We have a great venue with lots of space for our balloons, classrooms, bar, cafe, restaurant, FREE camping, bunk rooms available too.

We haven't had much take up for the ground school, but we can offer flight and tethering training. We may be able to hold a ground school for the dropping of meat bombs to add to your licence. Please get in touch URGENTLY if you are interested in the training.

Oh, and the venue...... Skydive Hibaldstow, North Lincolnshire
Members and friends of the PRBA have been invited to a weekend of fun AND training at Hibaldstow Aerodrome.

The training will now be flying training/tethering etc. as the uptake for ground school training has not been massive, however we will also be holding a session for pilots to add a drop licence to their skills.

We will be based on the airfield (camping free of charge). There are also rooms available in the bunk house ranging from dorm style at £6 per night, to family rooms up to £40 per night. there are showers, toilets, a cafe/restaurant, and a bar all available on site, and lots of people jumping out of planes!

The rooms available to book are hot property so get in touch very quickly as they are booked up well in advance. Also, the village pub, The Wheatsheaf, have four double/twin rooms at around £65-70/night. Bargain!

We have test driven the food there too and it was really good. Tel: 01652 659595 or email wheatsheafhotel@outlook.com, the landlord would love a flight by the way!

As well as training, get your competition hats on and compete for the Autumn Gold Trophy. The task is set by whoever won the trophy last year.

We also have the 'Gassing' trophy in memory of Terry Chamberlain for you all to compete as a minimum distance task.

We haven't had a balloon meet in this area for a long number of years so come along and take advantage of a bargain weekend.
